Miss Emily is a qualified Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) and Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT) teacher who welcomes dancers of all ages and abilities into the world of dance. She holds the RAD Silver Swans qualification, which hasled to her involvement in the Let’s Dance research project—a collaboration between the Royal Academy of Dance and Care UK aimed at promoting dance among older adults.
Dedicated to inclusive teaching, Miss Emily has completed CPD training in Accessing Pathways for Disabled Dancers, equipping her to adapt both her content and teaching methods to ensure every class is accessible, engaging, and fun for all. She is fully trained in safeguarding, first aid, and mental health first aid.
With a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition and specialist training in PBT, Emily brings a strong foundation in anatomy and physiology to her teaching practice. Beyond the studio, she works as a careers consultant at the University of Southampton, supporting scientists and creatives as they take the next steps in their professional journeys.
Miss Megan is a fully qualified Acrobatic Arts and British Gymnastics coach, with comprehensive training in safeguarding, first aid and mental health first aid. Her background includes extensive training in British Gymnastics, ISTD dance, and RAD ballet with previous experience coaching an acrobatic gymnastic competition squad.
In addition to teaching at Milton Academy of Dance, Miss Megan also coaches children performing with the Raiders Performing Arts, Colourguard team, preparing them for high-profile national events. She is passionate about creating a supportive and safe environment for all her students and places a strong emphasis on teamwork. Megan actively encourages older dancers to take on mentorship roles, teaching them how to safely assist and support younger teammates in acrobatics classes.
Her coaching and training expertise are further enhanced by her NHS role, where she supports healthcare trainees in preparing for careers as paramedics. This role together with her acrobatic training helps Megan to bring a unique blend of discipline, empathy and real-world experience to her teaching practice.
Suzanne began dancing at the age of 3, with a particular passion for ballet following the RAD syllabus through to Adv 2. Suzanne’s love of dance also extends to tap, jazz, musical theatre, contemporary and street. Her professional career has seen her working locally and internationally in cabaret and musical theatre.
Suzanne has taught ballet for nearly 20 years and holds the Royal Academy of Dance Certificate in Ballet Teaching Studies (CBTS) with registered teaching status. She was part of the initial pilot scheme for the silver swans programme with the RAD, becoming one of the first licensed teachers. Suzanne has trained in Sherborne Developmental Movement and has an A level in dance. She is a first aider, and has her safeguarding.
Suzanne has directed and choreographed many dance shows including a large theatre production in Australia, and formerly ran Love 2 Dance, a summer school for children wishing to experience new dance genres.
Began dancing at a young age, training in ISTD Ballet, Tap, Modern, as well as Spanish and National Dance. She studied at a local college in Bournemouth, completing all required dance exams and began teaching a wide range of classes for students of all ages and abilities.
Miss Kristi’s professional performance career has taken her across the UK, with credits including pantomimes, cabaret shows, end-of-pier variety shows, and holiday parks. She’s also been part of the annual Christmas Spectacular for many years. Alongside dancing, she has performed her own singing cabaret across the South Coast and recently started singing as part of a duo in local care homes.
Now, loving the chance to return to my roots, sharing her passion with the next generation and being warmly welcomed into the MAD (Milton Academy of Dance) family.
Miss Mandy is a qualified Acrobatics Arts teacher and has taught children the British gymnastics syllabi for over twenty years.
Mandy’s love for gymnastics started at a young age where she competed at county level and later co-ran Evesham Gymnastics school.
Alongside her gymnastics career, Mandy specialised in supporting SEN young people across primary and secondary schools. She ran her own gymnastics clubs prioritising young people who would otherwise not have the opportunity to experience gymnastics. Miss Mandy brings to Milton Academy her experience in encouraging all children to participate and develop in gymnastics and dance.
Mrs Hall trained at the Milton Academy of Dance before full-time training at the London College Of Dance and Drama, gaining her Diploma with Distinction. Mrs Hall is also an Associate of the ISTD (Ballet) and holds the RAD Teachers Certificate (Distinction.)
Mrs Hall is a registered teacher and life member of the Royal Academy of Dance.
Sally is our resident Pianist and plays for all our RAD ballet classes in the main studio.
Sally is a popular pianist for local choirs in the area and is also an ISTD exam pianist.
