MICHELLE SULLIVAN PRINCIPAL
I trained at the Villanueva Dance Academy in Poole, Dorset performing in many shows, Tv and pantomines as a child. I was then accepted to train at the prestigious 'Performers Dance College' Essex, with director and TV choreographer Brian Rogers, where i gained my Associate Teaching Certificate in ISTD (Imperial Society Teachers of Dance) Tap and Modern faculties (Distinctions). After graduating college i performed professionally in productions in Japan, Portugal and on board MSC cruise ships for a wonderful 7 years before returning to the UK and joining Milton Academy of Dance in 2003.
I also hold the Royal Academy of Dance Certificate in Ballet Teaching Studies (CBTS) 2006 with registered teaching status, a qualified Progressing ballet technique teacher and I am a first aider and dedicated Safeguarding lead. It was always my dream to have my own dance school to pass on my joy and love of dancing, its not just about making dancers but giving everyone the chance to dance and nurture confident, well rounded students into life.
Miss Emily began her training at Jaqueline School of Dance in Worcestershire before moving to Milton Academy of Dance in 2004. Miss Emily has the RAD Certificate in Ballet Teaching Studies (CBTS) with registered teaching status. Emily is a qualified Progressing ballet technique teacher, first aider, has her safeguarding and has a CPD in accessing pathway for disabled dancers (ISTD).
Outside of the studio Emily holds a BSC degree in Nutrition and supports creatives with their career choices at Bournemouth Arts University. Miss Emily enjoys combining her knowledge of health and wellbeing with her passion for dance.
Yvonne was introduced to Singing and Dancing from an early age, training in Ballet, Tap and Modern and Singing with the Bournemouth Symphony Chorus and Youth Chorus, England.
Wanting to train professionally Yvonne auditioned and was offered a place at the Northern Ballet School, England where she focused on Ballet and Jazz/Musical Theatre, graduating in 2010 with the Trinity National Diploma in Professional Dance and NBS Diploma. Whilst training, Yvonne appeared in productions including "Swan Lake", "Showcase of Dance" and "Crazy For You".
In 2010, Yvonne was offered her first professional contract, a world cruise onboard the Regent Seven Seas Voyager with Jean Ann Ryan Productions, as a Singer/Dancer/Aerialist. Yvonne was lucky enough to be complete seven contracts onboard RSSC performing and travelling the world in 6* Luxury.
Yvonne returned to the UK and began studying to become a qualified dance teacher in Ballet, Modern and Tap studying the ISTD DDE at Roynon Dance Centre, Southampton.
Yvonne loves passing on her passion and inspiring the younger and older generations. She currently teaches ISTD Ballet, Modern, Tap, Contemporary and Musical Theatre in the local area, teaches professional workshops and also choreographs and directs amateur shows.
Miss Megan danced at Milton Academy of dance for many years and discovered a love of acrobatics and later focused on gaining qualifications to become a coach. Megan gained an acrobatic British gymnastic qualification and enjoys coaching beginners to adults at a local acrobatic gymnastic club.
Megan joins us in September 2021 as our qualified Acrobatic Arts Instructor, with many credits to her name. Other qualifications include, first aid and safeguarding. Megan is extremely excited to be introducing acrobatic dance to Milton Academy of dance.
Mrs Hall trained at the Milton Academy of Dance before full-time training at the London College Of Dance and Drama, gaining her Diploma with Distinction. Mrs Hall is also an Associate of the ISTD (Ballet) and holds the RAD Teachers Certificate (Distinction.) Mrs Hall is a registered teacher and life member of the Royal Academy of Dance.
Sally is our resident Pianist and plays for all our RAD ballet classes in the main studio. Sally is a popular pianist for local choirs in the area and is also an ISTD exam pianist.
